Every weekend my husband (Adrian) and I venture out on our motorcycle to explore new areas of South Korea. This weekend we decided to explore Korean’s 3rd largest city, Daegu. We enjoyed a very nice country ride and made a few fun pit stops along the way.
The first stop that we made was at a small winery. This winery was unique in that it was a persimmon fruit wine and all the wines were showcased in this really old tunnel. They age the wine in the tunnel as its temperature remains at 15 degrees Celsius year round, which seemed to be the perfect condition for this yummy wine. It was sweet and delicious and very refreshing, but a little too expensive and hard to carry on a motorcycle!
So we had fun there and then continued on into Daegu. We tooted around the city for a bit as we were on the look out for a specific restaurant called The Holy Grill, which is owned by a couple Canadian guys. When you live in a foreign country, sometimes you just crave the comfort of food from home, and boy was I craving a burger! Beef in Korea is extremely expensive, so when we do have the chance to enjoy it, it’s a real treat.
Yummers! The burger was delish and it sure hit the spot. What is usually such a simple food is extra special when you never get to have it. I look super excited eh? My craving was definitely satisfied.
Then we just played around for the rest of the day. It was a very fun trip all in all. Another successful adventure!
P.S. For my next post I am going to do a feature on one of my new fav. fruits, the Asian Pear. They are Huge, super yummy and uber healthy.
