Love in bagel form

I was having one of those days today where I knew exactly what I wanted to eat for the day, right when I woke up.  As per usual, I enjoyed my regular green monster in a bowl with some oats and Kashi Go-Lean Crunch for breakie.

For lunch,  I had an uber intense craving for a bagel. I am not one that eats bagels that often, but I was totally in the mood for one today.  (Thank you Costco for coming to Korea so that I can enjoy the goodness of bagels for my lunch!)

My standard bagel toppings are PB and banana, but I thought I would be a little crazy today and try something different.  I was inspired by the Foodie Diaries combo of cream cheese and apples and decided to give it a try myself.

I toasted up a bagel and spread my cream cheese on top and then layered thinly sliced apple on top. I always think that you can never go wrong with a little sprinkling of cinnamon, so that was my addition at the end.

Yummers!

Yummers!

It was quite enjoyable, I probably scarfed it down in a matter of minutes.  It was too good to savor!

On another random note, I thought that I would share something that made me laugh the other day. As you may have seen on my info. page, I have been living in South Korea for about a year now.  South Korea is super into learning English and using English on everything, even if it does not make sense.

On most food packages and business signs, English is used so that the product or company is more highly regarded. Often the English is very broken and sentences are put together in funny ways.

So yesterday I was buying a new tube of toothpaste and I had a good laugh over the packaging.

Anti-Calculus?

Anti-Calculus?

Clinx? Don’t really know what that means, but Anti-Calculus? From my understanding, I always thought that calculus had something to do with math, not teeth! Ha! Maybe they were trying to say calcium? Who knows? Another mystery of life brought to me by my Korean friends.

Have a super day 🙂

  1. Very funny toothpaste tube! I have always been anti-calculus myself 😉
I had a major craving for a bagel last weekend. I never eat them, but my toasted garlic bagel with cream cheese was perfection!

    • That toothpaste tube and I are actually a good match, as I am horrible at math! So truly, I am anti-calculus! Ha!
I agree, once and a while, a bagel is perfection!
